AICF is an independent Afghan organisation whose mission is to make Afghanistan an attractive place to invest and conduct business, by removing obstacles to private sector development

AICF is a facilitating rather than implementing organisation: it supports the private sector and the Government in their legitimate roles through funding activities.

AICF is driven by private sector principles: AICF makes effective decisions on payments to grant recipients, is demand driven and highly focussed on rapid and measurable results.
 

The Founding Board Members of AICF are: Mr. Karim Khoja - Chairman - CEO of Roshan (TDCA) Ms. Malalai Wassil - Attorney Mr. Gholam Hassanzadah - CEO of Siemens Afghanistan Mr. Tamim Samee - CEO of Digistan

AICF is private and independent; registered in Afghanistan and mainly operated by Afghans with a strong representation of the Afghan private sector on the Board and Management.

AICF’s purpose is to play a catalytic role and complement other private sector development initiatives in Afghanistan for a planned duration of 7 years after which it will close.
